Here at St Alban's, Frant (and at Holy Trinity, Eridge, too) we are committed to providing the highest standard of care regarding the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.  We do this in accordance with national safeguarding legislation and strict Diocesan guidance.
We have set up policies (see below) and guidelines to enable us to promote safer practices in all church activities.
We also seek to ensure that safer recruitment practice is followed in relation to all volunteers and paid staff.  This includes running DBS checks for everyone who offers to work with children, young people and vulnerable adults on a regular basis and/or who has an overall responsibility, in any capacity, for the work we do with children and young people and visiting vulnerable adults.

As part of our safeguarding practice, the churches have a Parish Safeguarding Officer, Roy Buchanan, and an Assistant Parish Safeguarding Officer, Roo Froud.  Any queries or concerns regarding safeguarding can be directed to them, contact details below.
