Latest information

In addition to our Morning Service in church (see below),
we now have

Festival Church
on Sundays, between 5:00pm and 6:00pm
in The Paddock, behind The Stables.
Please click here for further information.

In line with the Government’s guidelines to allow churches
to be open for public worship,
we are holding services in church, albeit with restrictions.

We have to make sure that everything we do is done safely,
so, we have made arrangements to take care to ensure
the safety of everyone who comes to church.

Services are being held on Sundays at 9:30am
in St Alban’s Church, Frant.

These are “said” services of readings, prayers and an address,
without singing or children's work.

We are taking Government guidelines and Church of England advice
very seriously, as we recognise that in order to meet in safety,
it has meant changes in how we do things.

To let you know what it will be like when you arrive at church:

  • You may need to queue to get in (2 metres apart)
  • We will need to note down your name and contact details as you come in (for contact tracing).
  • You will need to sanitise your hands as you arrive
  • You will need to wear a mask in church (this is now a legal requirement for churches)
  • You will need to remain socially distanced (2 metres) including space for others to use aisles
  • After the service we will not be able to stay and chat

Please follow the advice and comply with the requests of the sidespeople
on duty on Sunday mornings.

NB.  The church will not be open at any other time on Sundays.
This is because of the need to carry out rigorous cleaning after each “event”.

However, the church will continue to open
for individual private prayer
on Wednesdays:  9:00am to 2:00pm.

In order to fulfil Government guidance,
please comply with the following requirements on Wednesdays:

Be on your own.
Use the hand sanitiser.
Stick to the marked-out areas and pews.
Keep 2 metres distance from other people at all times.

NB.  If you develop symptoms and have been in church,
please contact the Rector:
email:  rectoryfrant@gmail.com
or
telephone:  01892 752003
