FRIDAYS 6.30pm-8.30pm

Encounter has many exciting activities and opportunities for young people to make friends, grow in their faith, and serve alongside the adults in the church.
Each evening’s programme normally involves having a meal together, digging into the Bible, and playing crazy group games!  As well as this we have a social at the end of each half term.
No matter if you come on your own, or with friends, you can be assured of a great time.

Festival Church Kids

This is our Forest School Style, Sunday School, with Bible stories around the fire, discussion, songs, woodland crafts and more.
It is run by trained Forest School (level 3) practitioners.

Festival Church Kids is part of Festival Church, which meets outdoors at 4pm on Sundays in the Rectory Paddock.

SUNDAY CLUB

(Currently, Sunday Club is not running. Our alternative is Festival Church Kids (information above))

0-14-year-olds

Sunday Club takes place in the Church Hall while adults remain in church for the morning Church Service.

What is it? Games, Crafts, Music, Challenges, Bible Teaching and more...

Sunday Club is designed to help the children to learn about God, stimulate hearts and create friendship and fellowship.
It takes place in The Stables (our church hall) while the morning service continues in church.

Normally, we all start in the Church service, as a family together, before the children and young people leave with their leaders for The Stables.

In The Stables we start with worship all together and then we break into different aged groups. All the material, discussions and topics are age-related for each group.

We take the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care very seriously, and all our leaders are DBS checked.
For full details, please have a look at our
Safeguarding policy.

Planning your Visit

A Warm hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Our Service

The main service in Frant is 9.30am -10.30am.

Reverend Brendan opens the service and there is a mix of bible readings, sermons, prayer, and singing.

Sometimes there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.

Church Building

What can children do?

We have a fantastic programme for children aged 0–14.... and our very own Festival Church.

Morning service:

Children stay with the grown-up for the first part of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together.  The speaker will make it clear when and where children need to go for their programmes.  You do not need to go with your children unless they are pre-school age.  The children will have great fun playing games, and learning about God in a way that is tailored to their age group

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.
